'Varna is challenging' Cinematographer Ramji says he has so many colours in the Telugu-Tamil romantic fantasy drama Varna, slated to release Nov 22 that it will be like a visual colour palette.
'This is my third film with Selva and our relationship has only grown stronger over the years. Varna was tough because I had to create a new world with a lot of colours. The final output was like a colour palette,' Ramji told.
'I thoroughly enjoy my work because each film is different from the other. This one in particular is special because I had the opportunity to learn more about technology. Knowledge never goes waste, does it? Therefore, I was happy being part of the project,' said Ramji.
Directed by Selvaraghavan, Varna is a love story set against the backdrop of two different worlds. 'Since it's a fantasy story set in an imaginary world, I had to use a lot of colours.
The colours in a way reflect the mood of the characters in the film. If the Tamil period flick Aayirathil Oruvan was demanding, Varna is even more challenging,' he added.
Ramji had previously been associated with films such as Click, Apna Sapna Money Money and Supari.
