Anamika not a remake of Kahaani
Nayantara's upcoming film Anamika is making headlines even before it completes the shooting. The film directed by Sekhar Kammula was said to be a remake of Bollywood's critically acclaimed film Kahaani featuring Vidya Balan.
It is rumored that Anamika is not a remake of Kahaani and that the director has adapted the story and added a few scenes relating to the Nirbhaya case.
Sources close to Kammula say, 'Kammula was very upset and moved by the Nirbhaya incident. He decided to include a few scenes with an underlying message to the society in Anamika.'
Incidentally, Sekhar Kammula's Leader that marked the debut of Rana Daggubati is loosely inspired by a real life incident. With Anamika, Sekhar seems to be repeating the formula once again.
