Rey release postponed again
Launched amidst a lot of hype and fanfare, Rey which was supposed to be the debut of Sai Dharam Tej, nephew of Chiranjeevi, has been languishing in the wings for a long time.
The movie which is produced and directed by YVS Chowdary has Sai Dharam Teja, Shraddha Das and Sayami Kher in the lead roles. Expected to release for Sankranti, the release has been postponed yet again.
However, the makers have a valid reason. They don't want the movie to be pitted against Ram Charan's Yevadu. Yevadu was originally scheduled for December, but it has been postponed to January.
So Chowdary has decided to go in for a February release for Rey. You obviously can't have two heroes from the same family competing against each other, can you?
The fresh date doing the rounds for the release of Rey is February 2. Hopefully, there should be no further hassles to this beleaguered project.
