Mahesh as Rock Star in 1
Mahesh Babu's new brawny look in One-Nenokkadine has been the talk of the tinsel town. The actor will be seen in three different shades and one among them is that of a rock musician.
A source close to Mahesh explains, 'Mahesh will be seen as a rock star in One-Nenokkadine. He did vigorous workouts and may exhibit his six pack abs. On the other side, he has put in an awesome performance in the film and apparently tapped his feet for typical dance movements.'
Shraddha Das speaks otherwise. She claims it's not an easy job to portray a pop star. 'Playing a rock star isn't easy as the audiences are mature enough to recognize whether one fits into the character or not.
We need to work on the role and if we do enough ground work then, I would say it will be easy. I am very happy to try out something new in my film,' adds Shraddha Das.
The actress who is inspired by the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna and Beyonce for the role says, 'I 'm playing a Mexican-American pop diva in this film Rey. My role has a lot of grey shades. The film is set in the backdrop of a pop-music competition based in the US.
Sai Dharam Tej is from a rival gang who challenges me. I can confidently say that the dance sequences in Rey will enthrall the audience like never before.'
Ask her whether the concept of rock star is an unfamiliar concept to the audience, she quickly says, 'These days, youth are heavily inspired and have aspirations of becoming a rock star with the growing influence of music channels.
So, it's not an alien concept any more. In Hyderabad, there are many college bands that boast of a lot of musicians who play diverse genres like hip-hop, fusion and rock.'
