Autonagar Surya costs a bomb
Naga Chaitanya's forthcoming film Autonagar Surya is supposed to have been made on a budget of around Rs 25 crore. The delay in filming owing to financial problems of the producer is partly attributed to the increased budget.
While the teaser of the movie is generating a pretty good response, insiders still feel that it would be a tough ask for the makers of the movie to entertain a table profit for the movie as Naga Chaithanya does not command that kind of a market.
What this translates into is the fact that the best deal for the producers would be to try and sell the movie for a break-even price or close to it or leave the movie to the judgment of the audiences. That would be a huge risk for the already cash strapped makers. Tough times ahead indeed for the auto!
