Mohan Babu, Vishnu in Sarkar remake
Remember Ram Gopal Varma's Sarkar, the film that has set a new benchmark in the dramatic thriller genre in Indian cinema. News is that Sarkar is going to be remade in Telugu with Mohan Babu reprising the lead role originally played by Amitabh Bachchan.
Film Nagar circles say that the RGV directorial tentatively titled Ottu is loosely based on Bollywood films Sarkar and Sarkar Raj which have also been directed by the maverick director.
The inclusion of Manchu Vishnu in the project is also fuelling the rumors and it is being speculated that he is going to step into the shoes of Abhishek Bachchan in this remake.
While Sarkar was set against Mumbai background, Ottu will have Rayalaseema backdrop. The regular shooting has begun on Thursday and the makers are planning to release the film in summer.
