A book on legend Dasari's filmography Dasari Narayana Rao is one of the legendary directors in the industry who in a glittering career spanning decades has directed a staggering 150 films, most of them rewriting box-office history.
Now a book on the films of Dasari was launched in Hyderabad at a lavish ceremony which was graced by heavyweights from the industry. Titled Vishwa Vijetha Vijaya Gadha, the book looks at all the 150 movies of Dasari and has anecdotes from the making of those films. It is written by senior journalist Vinayaka Rao.
Actor Krishna unveiled the first copy and gifted it to producer, Raghava who offered Dasari his first opportunity as a director with the film Tata Manavadu.
Speaking to the media, Vinayak Rao said, 'This book is a culmination of two years of effort. In my 28 years as a journalist, I am indebted to Dasari garu, who encouraged me every step of the way. This is my humble tribute to him,' he said.
Dasari utilized the occasion to thank the writer and the people from the industry who had been steadfast in their support for him in his journey and expressed his intention to come out with an autobiography soon.
