Venkatesh as 'Home Minister' For the first time in his career, actor Venkatesh would be seen in the role of a 'Home Minister' in his next movie, Radha, which is all set to go on floors on February 6.
To be directed by Maruthi of Ee Rojulllo and Bus Stop fame, the movie will see Nayanthara opposite Venkatesh. Venky and Nayan had earlier worked together for the action drama Thulasi, which was directed by Boyapati Srinu. Though the movie turned out to be a commercial failure, the on-screen chemistry between Venky and Nayan worked out well.
Riding on two successive failures, Shadow and Masala, it is interesting to note that even Venkatesh has put himself in the hands of director Maruthi, whose movies are criticized by a segment of the audience for catering to the baser instincts and being lewd and vulgar.
Interestingly, Radha did run into some trouble even before take-off when an assistant director of Maruthi filed a complaint against the latter claiming that Maruthi had plagiarized his script, made a few changes to it and passed it off as his own. With no further news emerging on the issue, all seems to be in order and the stage set for a perfect take-off for Radha.
