Shruti to move court against producers Bollywood spy, action thriller D-DAY (2013) is all set to be dubbed into Tamil. However, the makers have run into an unforeseen problem with Shruti Hassan, one of the actresses in the film objecting to the release of the movie in Tamil.
Directed by Nikhil Advani, the movie which is based on an operation of Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) of India in Pakistan featured Shruti Hassan as a Pakistani prostitute.
While she garnered good appreciation for her performance in the movie, Shruti is now protesting the release of the movie in Tamil as she says that it was not part of her original agreement with the producers and is contemplating legal action against the makers.
Insiders say, that the actual reason could be that Shruti feels her role in the movie which involves a steamy scene with Arjun Rampal might not go down well with the conservative Tamil audiences, where she derives more of an identity from being the daughter of iconic actor Kamal Haasan rather than as an actress. Hence, the movie might generate adverse opinion from fans of her father.
