Catherine as Noor Jahan
Catherine Tresa would be seen essaying the role of Noor Jahan, a Muslim girl in Krishna Vamsi starrer Paisa which is releasing on February 7. Her love interest and lead actor Nani would be seen as a model who works for a remuneration of Rs 200 per day.
One of the most awaited films in recent times, the entire unit of the movie was present at a specially convened press meet in Hyderabad where they interacted with the media. Speaking on the occasion, director Krishna Vamsi said, 'The character of Catherine is really interesting. She has to convey her emotions and expressions only through her eyes.
In today's society 'Money' is the eleventh avatar. The role that money plays in society today and the changes that take place in a person's life after money comes into his life is showcased in a very entertaining fashion in Paisa. Nani has given his 1000% to the film.
I am sure that the movie will be liked by all.' 'It has been one and a half years since the release of my last film and now, all of a sudden, I have three films lined up for release. Paisa is very close to my heart for the simple reason that it has given me the opportunity to work with Krishna Vamsi.
I thank Krishna Vamsi for having selected me for the lead role. I have already watched the movie twenty times and every scene was performed with a lot of dedication and risk. I am very confident about the movie,' said actor Nani.
Producer Ramesh Puppala, said, 'We have shot extensively for the movie in Malaysia and Dubai. Music director Sai Karthik has given excellent tunes for the film. Paisa is a team effort and is the culmination of a dream of two years.'
