Brahmi by his son's side With contacts, money by his side, Brahmanandam could have and easily resurrected his son's career, but he chose not to do so as he wanted his son to learn it the hard way.
After making a not-so-impressive debut a decade ago, his son Raja Goutham is testing his luck again with `Basanti', slated to release this Friday. At a press meet held in Hyderabad, Brahmanandam exuded confidence about the product.
'Editor Marthand K Venkatesh and composer Mani Sharma kept raving about the film. The latter even said that its one of his best films till date. I watched the film few days back and as an artiste, I can say that Goutham has done justice to his role,' he said.
He added that the film will give his son the much needed push. 'He started when he was 18. He is wiser now. The film will be a big plus moving ahead for him.
Had I not liked his performance in the film, I wouldn't have at attended this press interaction,' he stated and added that he wants to see his son stand as an artiste who can do wide variety of roles.
Speaking about the film, Goutham said that he plays a middle class boy-next-door Arjun. 'He is an average college going guy but an unexpected situation changes his life. How he deals with it forms the story,' he said.
