Puri shocks Charan fans
Puri Jagannath is the director who introduced Ram Charan to the tinsel town with Chirutha. The movie released in 2007 and went on to become moderate success considering the fact that it was Charan's debut movie.
Now after 7 years, Puri made a shocking revelation about the film in a recent interaction with the media. The maverick director explained that it was because of Ram Charan that he missed out on an opportunity to work with Salman Khan.
'When Pokiri was released, I got a call from Salman asking me to direct the Hindi version of the film. But I said 'No' because I already signed the dotted line for directing Ram Charan's debut film Chirutha,' says Puri.
Insiders are wondering on what made Puri to talk about losing Salman's film now when he is going great guns in his career with handful of films. But sources close to the director say that it was only due to the financial hassles he faced earlier that made him talk now.
Needless to say this statement of Puri didn't go down too well with the fans of Ram Charan and they are in a state of shock.
