Pawan is my inspiration: Sampoo
Few films in recent times have attracted as much hype and attention even before release as Hrudaya Kaleyam and it is undoubtedly because of the lead actor in the movie, Sampoornesh Babu, fondly referred to as Sampoo. The audio launch of the movie was held at a glittering ceremony at a star hotel in Hyderabad.
Sundeep Kishan, Maruthi, Tammareddy Bharadwaj, Damodar Prasad and VN Adithya were among the prominent Tollywood personalities who graced the event.
The highlight of the function was clearly Sampoornesh Babu with the gathering yelling in delight every time his face flashed on the screen. Speaking on the occasion, Sampoornesh Babu said, 'The publicity which we wouldn't have got from spending lakhs of rupees, we got for free thanks to a tweet on our film by Rajamouli garu.
There is one famous dialogue of Pawan Kalyan: 'You are the hero of your life'. That is a great inspiration for me. Also, the support extended by Maruthi has been invaluable.
Hrudaya Kaleyam is a love story and can be watched by the entire family. Today, if I am standing before you all, it is only because of director Steven Shankar.' 'But for the support of Maruthi, Hrudaya Kaleyam would not have been made.
I alone know the difficulties I had to face in completing this movie. Today, I thank my entire team who stood behind me like a rock. When I first narrated the script to Sampoo, I told him that initially people will hate or ridicule him, then they will accept him and finally they will love him.
After listening to the script, he only told me one thing: 'If you want me to walk among a crowd at Secunderabad railway station wearing nothing but underwear, I am ready.'
What more can a director ask for with such a committed person? I have not created him, in fact he has given a life to all of us,' said Steven Shankar, the director of Hrudaya Kaleyam.
'These days when even top producers are hesitant about casting heroes without market value, Steven Shankar has actually gone ahead and completed the movie and then successfully gone about creating a market for his hero. I heartily congratulate him,' said VN Adithya under whom, Steven Shankar had worked as an assistant.
Starring Sampoornesh Babu, Kavya Kumar and Ishika Singh in the lead roles, Hrudaya Kaleyam is directed by Steven Shankar and produced by Sai Rajesh.
