Hamsa Nandini in Legend Barring an item song, the shooting of Nandamuri Balakrishna's Legend is complete. Starring Radhika Apte and Sonal Chauhan as the female leads opposite Balayya, the movie is directed by Boyapati Srinu and has music by Devi Sri Prasad.
Initially, the makers considered Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu for the item song but they finally seem to have zeroed in on Hamsa Nandini. Sentiment seems to have played its part in the choice of Hamsa Nandini.
She has done item numbers in Mirchi and Attarintiki Daredi, both of which turned out to be blockbusters. Hamsa Nandini's struggling career was revived after a brief appearance in SS Rajamouli's super successful Eega and filmmakers were eager to have the actress in their movie albeit for a brief period.
This resulted in a spate of offers, especially to do special songs and Ramayya Vasthavayya and Bhai are two other big films in which she has done special songs. She is also playing the role of a princess in director Gunasekhar's Rudramadevi.
As for Legend, the movie is expected to release towards the end of March or in the first week of April. Expectations are running high on the movie owing to the combination of Balayya and Boyapati who had earlier come together for Simha, a runaway hit.
