Censor clears Kammula's Anamika Sekhar Kammula's directorial Anamika featuring Nayanthara and Harshavardhan Rane in the lead roles has cleared the censor formalities and obtained a U/A certificate. The makers are planning to release the film in April. Anamika is an adaptation of Sujoy Ghosh's Bollywood hit Kahaani starring Vidya Balan.
The film is a tale of a woman who comes from Chennai to Hyderabad in search of her husband who was in the city on an assignment but went missing. Harshavardhan Rane is playing Nayanthara's husband in the film.
Reportedly, Sekhar Kammula has customized the script to suit the local sensibilities of the audience. The most prominent variation among them is that Nayanthara will not be seen as a pregnant woman unlike in the original.
'I'm very excited to be a part of Anamika and I can confidently say this is one of the best roles I have ever played on screen,' shares a beaming Nayanthara.
After a brief hiatus, popular writer Yandamoori Veerendranath is penning the dialogues for this thriller. Endemol India banner is producing the movie in Telugu and Tamil languages. MM Keeravani is scoring the music.
