Laddu Babu -A one-man show
'Laddu Babu is a one man show. Initially, Naresh used to sit for four hours to put on the make- up for his role. But as he tends to sweat a lot, it gradually came down to two and a half hours.
He went through this ordeal for 65 to 70 days. I don't mean to discriminate between a big hero and a small hero, but I think only Naresh could have played this character in Laddu Babu,' said Ravi Babu, director of Laddu Babu at the audio launch of the movie at Taj Deccan, Hyderabad.
He further added, 'There were many occasions when he fell down after putting on the make-up and he even broke his hands.
But he never brought it to my notice and helped me immensely in completing the film. Everyone contributed to the project, but ultimately it is the effort of Naresh which will prove instrumental in the success of the film.'
Allari Naresh was present in the attire of 'Laddu Babu' for the event. Apart from hero Allari Naresh, Allu Aravind and Tammareddy Bharadwaja who were present as the Chief guests, also spoke on the occasion.
Starring Allari Naresh, Poorna and Bhoomika in the lead roles, Laddu Babu is directed by Ravi Babu and produced by Rajendra Tripuraneni. Chakri has given the music for the film which has lyrics by Bhaskarabhatla.
