Anamika - a test for Nayan's talent
Nayanthara is one actress who is straddling across glam roles and performance oriented ones. The actress known for her acting prowess is in a state of confusion and seems to be worried on what would be the fate of her upcoming film Anamika.
Although she enjoys considerable following in Telugu and Tamil, the actress is apprehensive on how the audience will receive her film. Going by the trend, the audiences are averse to female centric films and the poor reception of films such as Chandi starring Priyamani and Varna featuring Anushka are the best examples.
Nayanthara who is acting in her first female centric film seems to be anxious on whether she can manage to draw in decent crowds for her film Anamika or not.
Sources close to the actress says,'Nayanthara is perplexed right now. To overcome that pressure, the actress has been touring divine shrines like Haridwar and Rishikesh.
It would be very easy to act in big films featuring superstars as those roles won't have substance and the entire responsibility of drawing the audience lies on the stamina and star power of the male protagonist.
Right now, the scene got changed completely and it remains to be seen whether Nayanthara can overcome all these odds and emerge as a winner at the box-office.
