Manchu family backs Modi
Narendra Modi fever is gripping Tollywood these days. Ever since Pawan Kalyan and Nagarjuna met the Chief Minister of Gujarat, speculations rife that a few more actors from Tollywood are all set up to jump into the bandwagon.
Prominent names among that list are veteran actor Mohan Babu and his daughter Manchu Lakshmi Prasanna. Although Lakshmi was quite vocal about her support to Modi, her dad Mohan Babu remain tight lipped about his political plans.
Over a few days, the fans of Manchu family are insisting on Lakshmi and Mohan Babu to lend their support to Modi and contest in the upcoming polls on a BJP ticket.
A few sections of media too echoed similar views and started airing programmes' pertaining to the fact that Manchu family is going to plunge into active politics soon.
Dismissing the rumors, Lakshmi Manchu took to her micro blogging page and says, 'I feel humbled that my wonderful fans and the media think I can be a good leader. With all due respect, I am NOT contesting 4 this election.'
Further she maintains that, 'I am and will continue to support the one and only Narendra Modi. My family was the 1st in the film fraternity to have personally met with him,' says Lakshmi indirectly hinting that they are ahead of Pawan Kalyan and Nagarjuna.
On the other hand, Mohan Babu too opened up on his political entry and cleared the air by saying, 'Hearing some absurd news coming in TV channels that I am getting ready to take a plunge into Politics. As of now it's humbug!'
He also asserted that, 'Unlike others I don't change my colours.' Looks like both daughter and father are taking a jibe at mega brothers Pawan Kalyan and Chiranjeevi who changed their parties and turned foes in the political arena.
