Puri to direct Surya
It is known that Kollywood star Surya has evinced his interest to act in a straight Telugu film. Ever since the news broke out, several Tollywood directors are queuing up to direct the Singham star.
Speculations rife that Puri Jagannath is the front runner among the list and is likely to direct Surya soon and even mailed a few story ideas to the actor.
Further, impressed with one of the lines, Surya has asked the director to develop the story. But with Surya already working on two films in Tamil, we have to see when this project is likely to begin.
It may be recalled that Puri met Surya a couple of times earlier and narrated an interesting storyline. Although Surya rejected it, Puri is leaving no stone unturned and penning a few scripts to the actor.
Adding to that, Puri is also planning to produce this film on his banner and even ready to spend Rs 30 crores provided Surya gives him the go ahead.
