Exaggerated claims of collections
Two movies have released on April 4: Rowdy and Hrudaya Kaleyam. The makers of both films are going overboard with their claims of collections. While Hrudaya Kaleyam is said to have collected eight crore so far, Rowdy is tipped at 4 crore on the opening day.
In an industry where hyperbole has always been a part of the game, inflated figures are used a s a marketing gimmick to lure the masses to the theatres. The true story will be known only at the end of the week or will the truth ever be known in Tollywood?
