Shriya rejects Kannada film She may no longer be the reigning queen at the box-office, but that is not deterring Shriya Saran from still being choosy about the offers that come her way.
Shriya has recently declined the offer to act in a Kannada film opposite, Ravichandran. The script required two heroines and Ragini Dwivedi had already been finalized as one of the leading ladies for the project which will be directed by Nagendra Prasad.
It is believed that the offer has now gone the way of Lakshmi Rai. The reason why Shriya declined the film is not known. Shriya's first outing in Kannada as a full-fledged heroine was the movie, Chandra which released on June 27, 2013.
Paired opposite Prem Kumar, she played the role of a 'last generation princess' in the film. The movie did not do too well at the box-office. Shriya had also done a cameo in the film Arasu way back in 2007.
Arasu and Chandra remain her only Kannada films to date. Apart from Manam, which is ready for release in Telugu, Shriya has a Tamil movie, Raja Raja Chozhanin Porval and a Bollywood movie, Valmiki Ki Bandook, on hand.
