Prabhas in Ugramm remake Many top heroes in Telugu have expressed an interest in doing the remake of the Kannada blockbuster, Ugramm. But it appears as if it is Prabhas who would finally be bagging the chance.
The remake rights in Telugu have been acquired by Dil Raju and he has reportedly been given the green signal by Prabhas who was impressed by the movie. As of now, Prabhas is busy with his magnum opus, Baahubali.
So, in all likelihood, the Telugu remake of Ugramm will go on floors, in 2015, once Prabhas is finished with Baahubali. Prabhas and Dil Raju have earlier teamed up for Munna and Mr Perfect. It is believed that Salman Khan will be doing the Hindi version.
Ugramm is a crime thriller, an action-drama directed by debutant Prashanth Neel. It was the first film ever to be shot outside the Bharat Gold Mines Limited cyanide dumps at Kolar Gold Fields.
Ugramm was widely hailed as a landmark gangster film that balances commercial elements with a stirring screenplay. It came in for a lot of praise for its technical brilliance.
