Rajamouli took to twitter to encourage polling
Hyderabad: Ace director SS Rajamouli isn't a man who talks only films. He is as much aware of political developments, especially this election season. The filmmaker who campaigned for Loksatta urged people to come out in large numbers and exercise their right to vote.
On the polling day Rajamouli took his twitter handle to educate the people about power of vote and the director spent his total day with re-tweeting to his followers.
"Take a selfie outside the booth with your inked finger and post it. Will RT as many as possible... Don't cheat ah...;) Tweet with ur loc..," posted Rajamouli in the morning today.
After his announcement the director flooded with voting selfies from his followers. The director has kept his word and has been retweeting the pictures all day. The filmmaker reckons that the 2014 elections will see the highest voter turnout ever in Seemaandhra region.
"Heard that about ten lakh people from Hyderabad went to their home towns to vote. Are they angry??? Are they apprehensive?? Are they hopeful?? Whatever the reason, the next govt, whoever forms HAS to deliver. Else they would have to deal with a very very angry population!!!," says Rajamouli.
He even said apologies to his followers for his re-tweets and requested them to bear him with one day.
"I know it'll be very irritating seeing your timeline filled with so many rts. Pls bear with me for one day. If it is unbearable, unfollow me. If these RTs can make atleast a 50 ppl exercise their voting right, it is more than worth it...:)," added Rajamouli.
Unlike other tollywood celebrities who showed no interest in voting Rajamouli came to support the noble cause and he did it practically.Let us see how far out Jakkanna request help register record poll percentage in the state.
