Anamika effect on Samantha
Samantha is one actress who is ruling the roost in the industry. The actress who was last seen in Attarintiki Daredi was tired of sporting typecast roles and is eagerly waiting to work in female centric films which apparently give her a lot of space to show her acting prowess.
Of late, it was reported that Samantha had tried to snap the remake rights of Kangna Ranaut starrer Queen. Sources inform us that the actress has backed out of the idea following the dismal performance of Anamika, the remake of Vidya Balan's Kahaani.
The Sekhar Kammula directorial that hit the screens on May 1 has got lukewarm response from all sections. The result of Anamika has left a huge impact on Samantha who wanted to reprise the role of Kangna in the Telugu remake of Queen.
It seems the actress has dropped the idea and going great guns signing big ticket films which eventually pep-up her image. Whatever it may be, Sekhar Kammula's Anamika has made Samantha not attempt deglamorized roles when her career is at it's the helm.
