Trisha bags a role in Ajith's film
Trisha is one actress who has had a glittering career. But of late she has been missing in action and hardly has any notable films on hand.
Against this backdrop, her career has received a shot in the arm with news that she has been finalized as the second female lead opposite Tamil star Ajith in his upcoming film, tentatively titled, Thala 55.
The shooting of the movie commenced on April 11 and the first schedule has already been completed. Anushka Shetty is the other heroine.
Directed by Gautham Menon, the movie is produced by AM Ratnam. Ajith supposedly plays the role of a daredevil cop in this film. Initially, the makers were keen on roping in Amy Jackson as the second heroine, but things did not work out and the offer has now gone to Trisha.
Harris Jayaraj is the music composer for this film. The success of this film will definitely put Trisha back in the reckoning for plum roles opposite top heroes in the industry once again. Her last appearance in Telugu was in the NTR disaster, Dammu.
