Manchu Lakshmi paid Rs 15 lakh
Manchu Lakshmi was reportedly paid around Rs 15 lakh for her role in Chandamama Kathalu. The movie proved to be a disappointment at the box-office.
Insiders are now wondering whether director of the film, Praveen Sattaru made an error in judgment by offering that kind of amount to Lakshmi.
Though her performance came in for appreciation, her role in the movie is incidentally just one of the eight sub plots in the movie.
There is another section which says that the name of Chandamama Kathalu immediately brings to mind, Manchu Lakshmi and that itself is an indication of how popular her presence in the film has been.
She did go all out with her promotion for the film and thoroughly deserves whatever she was paid for the movie, they opine.
