Kotha Janta enters profit zone at BO
Allu Sirish, Regina Cassandra and Madhurima starrer 'Kotha Janta' entered profit zone in spite of mixed reviews. According to the trade sources, the movie has turned out to be safe venture for the makers within one week of its release. The movie has reportedly collected a share of Rs.4.80 crores for 8 days.
The Maruthi directorial was made on a budget of Rs.6.25 crores (including publicity). MAA TV bought the film's satellite rights for Rs 2 crores and distribution rights of Krishna, Vizag, Guntur and Nellore were sold for good price.
Regina's matured performance, hilarious comedy track, good music are said to be the major factors behind the good run of Kotha Janta. Though the trademark dialogues of Maruthi went missing, the humor flavor hasn't taken a beating and thus started attracting the crowds.
As per trade analysts, the movie would provide slight earnings for producers and distributors. Here is Kotha Janta area wise collections report:
