Hansika shocks her producer
Actors increasing their remuneration after a hit are quite a common phenomenon in the industry. But, what if it happens to be a heroine who is currently struggling to deliver a hit?
News is that Hansika Motwani who has had successive box-office failures in the form of Biryani and Pandavalu Pandavulu Thummedha was initially roped in as the leading lady in Ram's new movie Pandaga Chesko.
Directed by Gopichand Malineni, the film is being produced by Paruchuri Prasad who earlier produced several hits such as Simha and Gunde Jhallumandi. But Hansika was soon replaced by Rakul Preet Singh of Venkatadri Express fame.
The reason is that Hansika has reportedly demanded a whopping Rs 1 crore to act in the film. The producers were shocked at what they felt to be an outrageous price for Hansika and promptly replaced her.
Expectedly, Hansika's mother cited unavailability of dates for opting out. With her contemporaries like Kajal, Tamanna, Samantha and Nayanthara crossing the magical figure long back, Hansika felt that it was about time that she entered the elite club as well.
But unfortunately in this case, the producers did not feel the need to cater to her wish as she is not riding a success wave at the moment.
