Trisha out of Godse
She might be short on offers in Tollywood at the moment, but actress Trisha, once the reigning queen of the South is no mood to compromise on her remuneration for that reason. Grapevine has it that Trisha was approached for the role of heroine in Balakrishna's next film to be directed by a debutant.
This opportunity was considered a huge break for Trisha, but the producers were in for a real shock when the former Miss Chennai quoted a whopping Rs 1 crore plus as her remuneration. The makers reported this to Balayya who was quite irritated and ordered them to scout for another heroine.
While many in the industry opine that it was foolish on the part of Trisha to let go of such an opportunity at this point in her career, it also speaks for her uncompromising character which was also instrumental in her success on the silver screen.
Trisha's last straight film in Telugu was Dammu opposite Junior NTR. Though she is also one of the leading ladies in MS Raju's Rambha Urvasi Menaka (RUM), it is highly doubtful if that film will see the light of day.
