Kamal moved by Manam There is only one movie on the lips of everyone in Tollywood currently: Manam. The movie starring three generations of the Akkineni family in the form of Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Nagarjuna, Naga Chaithanya and Akhil, released on May 23 to a resounding reception at the box-office.
Produced by Nagarjuna himself on the family banner, Annapurna Studios, the movie is all set to emerge as the biggest hit in the banner. The movie has already crossed a million dollars in revenue at the overseas box-office setting a new record and is being widely hailed by fans, critics as well as the industry seniors.
Tamil super star Kamal Haasan has recently watched Manam and shared his thoughts on the movie. 'I am a huge fan of Shivaji Ganesan and Akkineni Nageswara Rao. Manam is a 'feel good' movie. While people in the audience were thoroughly enjoying the movie, I recalled my association with ANR garu and became emotional.
The movie is indeed a fitting tribute to the departed legend ANR. Through Manam, he has signaled that he lives on through Nagarjuna and Chaithanya. As a fan of ANR, I heartily congratulate his family for coming up with such a masterpiece called Manam,' said Kamal Haasan.
