Actress Niharika held in prostitution case
Task Force sleuths raided a star hotel in LB Nagar and busted a prostitution racket on Sunday afternoon. Small time actress Niharika who has acted in a number of telugu films has been arrested by the Task Force team. Acting on a tip off, the Task Force team raided a room in the hotel and arrested the actress, along with two others.
Though the police is yet to reveal the names involved, one prominent Industrialist name is doing the rounds in Tollywood film circles. According to sources, the industrialist name hasn't been revealed because he is highly influential and has many contacts, including political.
According to source an unknown middleman has "arranged" Niharika to the industrialist who had already been involved in many other trafficking cases. The organizer used to contact customers through some known persons and show them the photos of models and junior artist stored in his cell phone.
These kind of incidents have become common in areas like Dilsukh Nagar, LB Nagar, Madhapur and Kukatpally etc. Women who are habituated for easy money have taken up prostitution as their profession. A case was registered under the Immoral Traffic Prevention Act, 1956, and the accused were handed over to the police for investigations.
