Mahesh Babu to play Pullela Gopichand
Prince Mahesh Babu who is busy starring in Aagadu under Srinu Vytla direction is also getting ready for his next in Koratala Shiva's direction. If everything goes according to plans he may soon turn badminton star Pullela Gopichand on screen.
According to source Mahesh Babu and his brother- in- law Sudheer Babu are coming together for a film on ace shuttler and Badminton coach Pullela Gopichand.
As per the tinsel town sources, Mahesh's brother-in-law Sudheer Babu is planning a film based on the life of famous badminton player Pullela Gopi Chand and he himself will produce the film.Interestingly, Sudheer Babu is trying hard to convince Mahesh Babu for the role of Pullela Gopichand.
The film will be directed by Praveen Sattaru, who is known for concentrating purely on the content and not just on the commercial aspects of a film. His films like LBW, Routine Love Story and the recently released Chandamama Kathalu have received a lot of appreciation.
Being a national level Badminton player himself, Sudheer was exposed to being in the news as the No.1 ranking badminton player in both AP and Karnataka.Recently Sudheer has expressed his desire to showcase his talent as a sportsman on the silver screen.
He specified that he would love to portray Pullela Gopichand's biopic whom he played alongside as a doubles partner.Hope the project will materialize soon.
