Drushyam 'first look' out
The first look of Venkatesh starrer, Drushyam is out. Starring Venkatesh, Meena and Nadhiya in the lead roles, the movie is a remake of the Malayalam blockbuster, Drishyam and is being directed by yesteryear actress Sripriya.
The Malayalam version had had Mohan Lal and Meena in the lead roles and became the highest ever grosser in the history of Malayalam cinema raking in nearly Rs 50 crore from its theatrical box office collections, remake rights, satellite and television rights.
The Telugu remake is jointly being produced by Suresh Productions, Rajkumar Theatres Pvt Ltd and Wide Angle Creations. The child artist Esther, who played daughter of the character played by Mohanlal in the super hit film Drishyam, will play the same role in Drushyam.
The police officer done by Asha Sarath in Malayalam will be donned by Nadhiya in Telugu. Meena, who was a part of the original, will reprise her own role in the remake, that of a hapless mother. The movie deals with a father's plight to cover up a murder committed by his family.
