Tollywood pay tributes to Shakuntla
Seasoned theater actor and veteran actress Shakunthala, fondly known as Telangana Shakuntala passed away late last night. The actress suffered a massive heart attack and even after her family members rushed her to the well known Narayana Hrudayalaya the doctors have declared that she has arrived dead.
The Marathi born actress has gained envious command over the Telougu language specifically the Telangana dialect that she got branded as Telangana Shakunthala. Shakuntala, who made her cinematic debut in 1981 Telugu film 'Maa Bhoomi', went on to act in 74 films. Telugu comedy 'Pandavulu Pandavulu Tummeda' was her last film, which released earlier this year.

The actress has to her credit over 70 films but her performance in movies such as Nuvvu Nenu, Okkadu, Lakshmi, Neeku Naaku, Maa Naanna Chiranjeevi, Rajanna will make her alive in the hearts of millions of movie lovers. The actress is survived by two sons and her last rites are expected to take place today evening in Hyderabad.
