Trisha to act in Queen remake After its successful run at the box office, Kangana Ranaut-starrer Queen is ready for its remake voyage down south. Veteran actor-filmmaker Thiagarajan has acquired the remake rights of the movie, which will now have Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam avatars.
Now the makers have finalized the lead role of the movie and it is none other than Trish Krishnan who bagged the prestigious role. Although the names of Nayantara, Tamannah and Samantha were considered initially makers have zeroed out the dusky siren for the role.
Trisha who has become a household name by making her presence felt in the southern film industry is definitely fit for the role. She has gathered years of experience and her body language sure does exude the innocence that is required to play Rani's part in the remake.
Either Radha Mohan or Ahmed will be wielding the megaphone for this movie. Trisha shares a close rapport with both Radha Mohan and Ahmed as the former gave her the Tamil movie Abhiyum Naanum and the latter, the recent Tamil blockbuster Endrendrum Punnagai.
Producer Thiagarajan said he was not sure whether his son Prashanth, the fame of Jeans, would cast in the movie or not, for the role to be offered to him in this movie has negative shades.
Other side Trisha has recently signed for a Balakrishna's new film tentatively titled 'Godse' to be directed by Satya Deva.
