Mohan Babu lashed out on Swaroopananda
Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopanand stunned the devotees of Shirdi Sai Baba with his bold statement - 'Shirdi Sai is a human being, not god. He is neither a symbol of Hindu-Muslim unity. Is not true that even Muslims would be having same amount of faith in Sai Baba".
He also opposed construction of temples for Shirdi Sai Baba. He alleged that it's a practice to make money in the name of the spiritual man. He further added that Sai Baba should not be considered a guru and an ideal because he was a non-vegetarian and advocated the practice of circumcision.
''Sai Baba was certainly not an incarnation of God, since there are only 24 incarnations of Lord Vishnu, as mentioned in Sanatan Dharma. Worshipping Sai Baba is a conspiracy to create division among Hindus'' He said.
The statements made by Swamy Swaroopananda is creating unrest amongst Hindus across the globe. Saibaba devotees are expressing anger on Sankaracharya.
Telugu film actor and former MP Mohanbabu immediately responded on the comments and he blamed Swaroopananda for making such comments on Sai Baba.
Mohan Babu arranged a press meet and shared his view on this issue. Mohan Babu said that after coming to know about the statements made by Swaroopananda Saraswathi, he was hurt as a Hindu.
He criticized Swaroopananda Saraswathi and went on saying that he was nothing but a mentally unstable person. Mohan Babu reminded that Shiri Sai Baba is an incarnation of Lord Siva.
Not only Mohan Babu many of the Sai Baba devotees angered on Swaroopananda comments. Wide spread agitations are seen across the country on the saint. Sai Baba devotees are burning effigies of Sankaracharya. We need to see how Sankaracharya will defend his words.
