Madhubala playing Aunt role in AD remake
Yesteryear seductress Madhubala who made her tollywood comeback with Telugu romantic -comedy entertainer 'Antaka Mundu Aa Taruvata' has been on signing spree across south.
She recently appeared in Tamil film Vaayai Moodi Pesavum which also released in Malayalam with title Samsaaram Aarogyathinu Haanikaram.
Now she concentrated on Sandalwood and she signed for untitled Kannada remake of recent Telugu blockbuster 'Attarintiki Daaredhi'. Madhubala will perform the role of Nadiya in this Kannada remake.
Delighted Madhubala said' I start shooting from August for the Kannada remake of 'Attarintiki Daaredhi'. I will be playing Nadiya's role in the remake and waiting to don the role'.
Kannada superstar Kiccha Sudeep will play the leading hero role in the remake. Sudeep who tasted the success from several Telugu films such as 'Mirchi', 'Singam' and 'Vikramarkudu' in Kannada is likely to direct the remake as well.
Madhubala once hailed as top actress in south and she is best remembered for her portrayals in Maniratnam's Roja (1992), Sangeeth Sivan's Yodha (1992) and Shankar's Gentleman.
This role would be a challenge for Madhubala to recreate seeing the amount of accolades Nadiya has won and achieved. Madhubala is a powerhouse of talent and has proved it in the past and we don't think she would disappoint.
