Trailer-Talk: Venkatesh 'Drushyam' Victory Venkatesh's latest movie 'Drishyam' is finally hitting screens next week. The trailer of 'Drishyam' has been released yesterday and the 110 seconds video has two shades. While some portions show happy atmosphere with family sequences, rest hints the movie has a thrilling element.
The trailer of the Telugu remake is very poor in comparison with original Drishyam which stars Mohanlal in lead. The original version of Drushyam critically acclaimed and the credit solely belongs to Mohanlal who carried the total movie with realistic acting.
But in telugu version Venkatesh somehow failed to deliver the same poignant expressions that of Mohanlal in the original. But content wise, there seems to be something inside with Venkatesh trying hard to save his family from a criminal-like cop and thereby committing some murders.
First of all big risk is involved in remaking classic films. Yesteryear actress Sripriya who is very new to direction has shown her immaturity in dealing the sensitivity.
Sripriya lacks that ability to create attention with her screenplay is what looking like a deficit. It gives a low budget and low quality vibe certainly that shouldn't be the case with a top hero like Venkatesh.
The big positive is the family angle on display here, after a long gap Venkatesh is doing a film that taps into his female family audience base. Overall, Drishyam trailer doesn't seem promising. You may love the trailer if you didn't watch the original.
All that we can do now is wait for the movie to hit the screens and see if the content does the trick and draws this family audience in droves to the theatre. What do you think of the trailer? Watch the trailer and tell us below.
