According to reports the makers have sold away the Karnataka and Ceded rights of the first part of the film and they have fetched mind boggling figures for the makers.
Our sources informed that the distribution rights of Karnataka and Ceded areas were sold for 9 and 13 crores respectively and this is record for any Telugu movie.
Getting an amount of 9 crores for a non-Kannada film is a record among other South Indian languages. In ceded area highest ever business was done for Magadheera which have collected 13 Crores+ in its final run.Now the rights itself sold for 13 crores means buyers are expecting nothing short of Magadheera.
According to trade pundits, this is so far the highest price for any Telugu cinema. Though more details of the buyers are yet to be known, this is certainly a welcoming sign for Baahubali movie that is touted to have an investment close to Rs. 150 crore.
The film is getting sensational offers from other areas too. Going by these numbers the trade is already throwing up unheard of before numbers for other major territories like Nizam, Uttar Andhra etc. Bahubali is going to be the benchmark of the business range of Telugu Cinema without an iota of doubt.
