Villagers delay Lingaa shoot In recent times, we have seen many films running into trouble on location with the local populace especially in and around Hyderabad.
Super star Rajnikanth's Lingaa becomes the latest film to be plagued by such a controversy. The shooting of the movie has been progressing at a brisk pace now for some time in and around Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad.
However, the unit was in for an unpleasant surprise when villagers of a hamlet near Ramoji Film City obstructed the shooting of the film saying that the unit of the film was contaminating the village pond.
The pond, apparently, is their only major source of drinking water. It is speculated that some biggies have immediately swung into action and are trying to resolve the issue.
Any delay in production of a movie of this scale would have an adverse effect on the finances of the project, but then the legitimate concerns of the locals have to be addressed also.
There is still a week's schedule of Lingaa to go at Ramoji Film City. The movie stars Sonakshi Sinha as the female lead opposite Rajnikanth.
