ANS enters profit zone
Autonagar Surya film had gone through several obstacles before hitting the screens on last Friday. The film was under production stage for more than three years and as a result the budget of the film has multiplied due to the interests taken on the finances.
The film received lukewarm response at BO and is disappearing from theaters in its second week owing to poor response. However, the director clarifies that the movie has already entered into profit zone. He says that the amount is already recovered through first six days theatrical share and other rights.
Well, his calculation was expressed in a tweet like this ' 'If we look into the first 6 days share + satellite + dubbings, the product made 20-30% more than what's actually spent on it. This is truth!! As per my sources, the actual spending on ANS is between 10-11 crore. The rest of the burdens were from other products and previous outings!'
That way, Deva Katta is taking into account the film's performance if it had released post completion without any delay. Irrespective of response, post Autonagar Surya release Deva Katta became more active on social web and he is promoting the movie vigorously.
Deva Katta also promised that, 'Just like I did for Prasthanam...I will publish the entire screenplay of Autonagar Surya after the 1st satellite broadcast for analytical purpose.'
The screenplay is expected to be uploaded onto the internet and aspiring filmmakers will find this to be very useful for academic interest and analysis.
