Mega Star rules in Filmfare awards
The film fare Best Actor Award is given by the film fare magazine as part of its annual Filmfare Awards South for Telugu films. The awards were extended to "Best Actor" in 1972.

As of now, Megastar Chiranjeevi has been credited as the recipient of maximum number of Best Actor Awards and they are seven in number.
In 1982 Mega Star Chiranjeevi won the award for Subhalekha and from then on till 2012 he won a record 7 Filmfare awards. He won awards for Subhalekha, Vijetha, Apadbandhavudu, Muthamestri, Sneham Kosam, Indra, Shankar Dada MBBS. Sobhan Babu and Krishnamraju followed Chiranjeevi and won 4 awards.

KAMAL HAASAN (3) - Akali Rajyam, Sagarasangamam and Indrudu Chandrudu.
VENKATSH (3) - Dharmachakram, Ganesh and Jayam Manadera.
MAHESH BABU (3) - Okkadu, Pokiri and Dookudu.
ANR (2) - Marapurani Manishi and Seetharamayya Gari Manavarallu.
ALLU ARJUN (2) - Vedam and Parudu.
Sr NTR (1) - Badipanthulu.
MOHAN BABU (1) - Pedarayudu.
CHANDRAMOHAN (1) - Padaharella Vayasu.
SOMAYAJULU (1) - Shankarabharanam.
NAGARJUNA (1) - Annamayya.
PAWAN KALYAN (1) - Gabbar Singh.
Jr NTR (1) - Yama Donga.
RAM CHARAN (1) - Magadheera.
