Mani Sharma accused of land grabbing Looks like film celebrities are falling victims of land grabbing and encroachment complaints. After Nagarjuna faced the ire of Telangana Government, now it's the turn of Mani Sharma to face the music of Tamil Nadu government though.
Popular music director Mani Sharma booked by Tamil Nadu's Neelangarai police for land grabbing and encroachment allegedly using fake documents.
Mani Sharma has a piece of land at Kunathur area near Neelangarai in the city. Mani reportedly encroached upon 73 cents of land belonging to Selam Kuppan which was adjacent to his land. Upon knowing this Selam Kuppan complained to Neelangarai police.
The police visited the area and confirmed that the music director had committed the crime. With this, the police filed a case and slapped an arrest warrant against him.
Apparently, the value of the land is nearly Rs 10 crores now. The Chennai Police have registered the complaint and they have reportedly taken Mani Sharma's manager into custody and are now scouting for Mani Sharma for further interrogation. Sensing the trouble Manis Sarma had applied for anticipatory bail in a local court.
Of late, Mani Sharma has become quite popular among film directors when it comes to re-recording. He also provided music for many blockbuster films and he is currently running with lack of offers. He recently was offered a chance to provide music for Balayya upcoming film Godse.
