It's raining movies this season in Tollywood, every week we get to see multiple releases of late. Given the quantity of releases happening in Tollywood these days and each week, the audience has got chance to choose which film they want to watch.
This week two more films are getting ready to hit the screens and two are from different genres.Two films clashing with each other are Drusyam and Ice Cream.
Drusyam happens to be a family movie mixed with thriller elements. "Drishyam" is an eponymous remake of a Mohanlal-starrer Malayalam blockbuster. Venky, has starred in several remakes over the years, but he said "Drishyam" was challenging for him. Venaktesh is playing the role of struggling middle class father and husband role in the movie.
After having worked with several top directors in his over two-decade long career, Venkatesh has for the first time teamed up with a woman director, Sripriya Rajkumar.
Producer Suresh Babu is promoting 'Drishyam' very vigorously. Usually, the star producer hesitates to screen special shows for media. However, Drishyam will have special previews and test screenings in the next two days for the media and other audience. This shows Suresh Babu's belief in the project
Other side maverick director RGV once again hitting with his horror movie.Already it is releasing with table profits.Thanks to the promotions of RGV.
It was buzzing that Ice Cream filled with steamy scenes between Navdeep and Tejaswi and the recent press release of RGV stated that Tejaswi appeared nude in some of the scenes. Even though Tejaswi condemns the news it was highly published about half nude scenes of the Telugu based girl.
The Navdeep and Tejaswi Madivada was expected to release in theatres on July 11. But the makers have delayed its release by one day. It is now set to hit the screens across the globe on July 12. Experts call it the effect of Drushyam, which will release this Friday.
Not only that RGV has introduced the flow cam technology to Tollywood with Ice Cream.Most of his recent releases have bombed at the Box Office.
Now, the director has pinned lot of hopes this movie.Well, each film has its own merits so it appears that both of them are going to have strong openings. Hope the films will fill thirst of Telugu audience.
