Dil Raju bought Geethanjali rights Of late producer Dil Raju is showing more interest on distribution rather than producing movies. The golden hand producer who erred with the decision of distributing 'Autonagar Surya' is now eyeing the ways to recover from those losses. Recently we heard that Dil Raju bought Nizam rights of 'Bahubali' for a whopping price of 25 crores, highest for any movie by far length.
Now latest news is that Dil Raju has also bought the rights of Geethanjali movie that stars Anjali in lead role. He acquired the films rights for Nizam and Vizag areas.
"Happy to announce that Dil Raju would be releasing Geethanjali in Nizam & Vizag areas. He has heard the story from me long time back and has been keen in taking the film since then. We closed the deal yesterday," reveals Kona Venkat, who is script writer-cum-producer for the movie.
As there is ample scope for comedy in the script, we could find several comedians in 'Geethanjali' and the combination of thrilling moments makes it work at the Box Office. It is slated for release in August 1st Week.
Apart from this Dil Raju also acquired rights of several small budget films like M.S.Raju's son Sumanth Ashwin's "Lovers" and another film 'Adavi kachina vennela'. As he is known for sound judgment of a film, surely Geetanjali might be having the needed stuff to ignite BO. Let us wait for the release date.
