Rana Daggubati in Avunu 2
Director Ravi Babu, who is going through a bumpy ride in his career, has set his sights on his next movie. Reports have arrived that Ravi Babu is working on the script of his new movie which happens to be a sequel to his critically acclaimed film Avunu. The original version has a breed of new comers and it seems Ravi Babu is trying to rope in a star hero for the sequel.
According to sources, Rana Daggubati will play the protagonist of the film and the movie is set to offer adequate comedy and horror elements. Suresh Babu Daggubati is going to produce this film jointly with Ravi Babu's production Flying Frogs.
Already, Avunu 2 title was registered with the film chamber and the makers are making arrangements to launch the film in the second week of August. A leading actress is expected to play the female lead in this horror-comedy that is currently in pre-production stage.
Be it horror, comedy or thriller, Ravi Babu has his unique way of making films and his last film Laddu Babu failed to live up to the expectations. On the other hand, Rana is currently busy working for Rajamouli's Baahubali and Gunasekhar's Rudrama Devi.
