Mahesh Babu won Filmfare best actor award The 61st Idea Filmfare Awards (South) held yesterday at Nehru Indoor Stadium, Chennai. Celebrities from all the south industries presented at the star studded award function. The award function honored the best people from the South Indian Film Industry for the year 2013.
In Telugu Super star Mahesh Babu won best actor award for his performance in SVSC movie where as Short beauty Nitya Menan bagged best actress award for Gundejari Gallanthayyinde movie.
Pawan Kalyan's clean family entertainer "Attarintiki Daredi"won four awards, including best film and best director, in the Telugu language category.
Apart from best film and best director award for Trivikram, the film bagged the awards in two more categories.Music director Devi Sri Prasad elected as best music director for his composes to the film.Srimani bagged best lyricist award for Aaradugula Bullet song.
Nithya Menan elected as best actress for her performance in Nithin starrer Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde.

Singer Chinmayi and actor Rahul Ravindran hosted the award function.The evening also observed scintillating performances by actress Shruthi Hassan and Tamsi Pannu, who set the stage on fire with their performances.
