Akkineni Amala acting in TV serial
The successful entry of Akkienni Nagarjuna on small screen with super hit game show of 'Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu' topping the TRPs, now his wife Amala is also set to enter on TV circuit.
Amala is getting set to make her debut on the small screen and she will be acting in a serial that will appear on Tamil television. She is currently in Chennai shooting for the serial and confirmed the news. Amala says she will be playing a doctor in the serial and she excited with the role she is playing in the serial.
'The serial is titled Uyermi. I will be playing a doctor which will be a totally new experience for me. I had enacted many roles in the past, but I hadn't played a doctor till now. So I am excited and looking forward to the experience.' discloses a visibly excited Amala.
"It revolves around the life of 12 doctors and I play one of the leads. This is a very interesting script and I just couldn't refuse. It is on a much bigger level and I am looking forward to audience's response. Most probably, the serial will be aired in mid of August," added Amala.
Amala, after taking a break from films, she was last seen in Sekhar Kammula's movie Life Is Beautiful in a crucial role. In an interview Nagarjuna had said that it was Amala's dream to be a Doctor, somehow it didn't happen. Let's hope her dream comes true in the form of this serial.
