Ekta Kapoor to halt 'Drishyam' Drishyam, which is earning applause's from audience across south, has landed in legal troubles. Bollywood hot filmmaker Ekta Kapoor has apparently sent a notice to 'Drishyam' makers for allegedly copying the plot from a book she purchased the film's rights.
Drishyam movie is reportedly inspired by Japanese author Keigo Higashino's book, The Devotion Of Suspect X, the rights of which Ekta Kapoor has acquired. She plans to make a film under her banner based on this book.
There have been reports about the film Drishyam being based on a plot similar to that outlined in the book. When Ekta got to know that the film is based on the book that she has purchased movie rights for, she was upset. She has sent a legal notice to the producers now.
Ekta's team has watched the film and deduced that it is a film adaptation of the novel. Drishyam a super hit in Malyalam, has been made in Kannada and Telegu, and it is now being made in Tamil featuring Kamal Hassan.
