Audiences' decision final: Kona Venkat
'Our film might not have lived up to the expectations of some critics. But the audiences are thoroughly enjoying it and it is, their opinion which ultimately matters,' said Kona Venkat at a 'success meet' organized by the makers of Anjali starrer, Geethanjali.
He further added, 'Brahmanandam worked for this movie like it was his own production. His attachment with the movie had to be seen to be believed. My next project will be with his son, Gowtham. I am readying a script for Gowtham and will announce the details soon.'
Anjali, the star attraction of the event, expressed her happiness at the result of the project. 'I thank the producers for having considered me for Geethanjali. I played a dual role for the first time in my career.
I put in a lot of effort for this movie and the end result is very heartening. The collections are very good. This has been an excellent movie for me to prove myself as an actress,' said Anjali.
'Anushka had to wait for some time before getting a movie like Arundhati. But Anjali can consider herself lucky in that she got Geethanjali so early in her career. Geethanjali is a movie that will be a success in any language,' said director Meher Ramesh who was present as a guest at the function.
